SAPP eyes 40 state seats

LAHAD DATU: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) will contest 40 state seats throughout Sabah in the next general election.


Its president, Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee, said SAPP would make preparations for the general election after the Chinese New Year.

"We may be facing a general election in June and after the Chinese New Year we will make preparations for the election.

"We will discuss with several opposition parties' leaders on strategies to win the next general election," he said when met at district SAPP Constituency Liaison Committee (CLC) member Wong Yu Chin's Chinese New Year open house.

Yong added the chances for SAPP to win the Lahad Datu seat were good due to the people's support and poll machinery.

Also present were Lahad Datu SAPP CLC chief Wong Yu Chin, CLC chairman Tungku cum chairman of Silam Zone, Shuaib Mutalib.
