KOTA KINABALU:Sabah DAP chairman Jimmy Wong should not put pressure on SAPP to be subservient to the party, said SAPP vice president cum Treasurer-general, Dullie Marie.
Responding to Jimmy Wong statement on Monday expressing doubt over SAPP's sincerity, and commitment of cooperating with the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) through the 'Pakatan-Plus (SAPP)' approach, without having to join the coalition, he reminded Jimmy thar SAPP is a local parly with a multiracial concept and that it would continue to pursue its mission.
He also said by regaining the promised autonomy, Sabah would be able to control its own economic resources and shape its political future.
He thus reiterated that SAPP would never budge just to please Jimmy Wong.
Dullie urged Jimmy and other state leaders to discard personal interests and be committed to the in- terests and the destiny of Sabah people.
"Jimmy should seriously consider the rights of Sabahan that has been ignored for almos five decades. decades.
He also said Jimmy has put himself above Pakatan Rakyat de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim by virtue of issuing the Statement.
"Such is the height of DAP's arrogance. Just in early September this year Anwar made a statement recognising the status of SAPP and it need not join the PR coalition in order to work together,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dullie said Jimmy was kidding himself by likening the relationshid among political parties to that of husband and wife.
“He should understand the seriousness and the responsibility of political parties. As a leader he should not make himself look foolish with that kind of statement. It is beyond Comprehension and it is as though he treats politics as a game and to have fun with,” Dullie quipped.
