KOTA KINABALU: Local authorities have been urged to rebuild the bus stop located at the lnanam-Tuaran Road.
SAPP Vice President, Don Chin, said the bus stop was demolished a year ago when the road was expanded but its rebuilding was set aside after the road project was complete.
He requested the authorities to take immediate action to reconstruct the bus stop for public usage and to ensure their safety while waiting for bus.
"The bus stop was supposed to be reconstructed immediately after the completion of the road expansion, but it is surprising that after a period of one year the infrastructure is not yet prepared for public use," he said.
“I do not said when it rained, people would have to wait by the roadsides without any shelter.
"I do not understand why it takes so long to reconstruct a bus stop and it is supposed to be, a basic infrastructure, people really would like to see a proper bus stop built as soon as possible," he iaid.
