Refrain from unethical corrupt practises, urges Melanie

KOTA KINABALU: Commercial and private vehicle services agents here have been urged to refrain from unethical and corrupt practices.

Urging this was Luyang State assemblywoman, Melanie Chia, stressing that this was crucial towards maintaining a good image of their association, and the industry, as a whole.

"This is because whatcver wrong doings committed by you would inevitably reflect badly on the association, and the industry as a whole." she said.

She stressed this while speaking as their Advisor at the swearing-in ceremony of the 8th Executive Comrnittee (2011 - 2013) of their Association (Perkas) at a leading Chinese seafood restaurant here, on Fridry.

Chia, who is also the Women Chief of Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP), further stressed that apart from providing a satisfactory service to their clients, they should also maintain good discipline among themselves in order to saltguarcl the good image of the association.
 
She also advised them to strictly abide by the rules and regulations set by the relevant authoritics such as the Road and Transport Department, Commercial Vehicles Licensing Board (CVLB) and Puspakom, in order to better portray their professionalism.
