Govt urged to extend land lease to 999 years

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) has urged the government to allow the extension of existing land lease tenure from 99 years to 999 years.

The party's vice president, Don Chin, said the extension should be allowed, particularly for housing areas.

"Please do not ignore the applications of the public on this relevant issue," he called on the Barisan Nasional government.

He also said that the SAPP's Sabah land reformation effort is sincere in rendering its assistance to Sabahans and solve the land tenure extension from 99 years to 999 years.

"The land tenure issue is of great interest to the people and should be dealt with immediately. Further delay should not occur as it is imperative to safeguard the people in relations to their property," he said.

He also said that SAPP promises that all applications  on land tenure extension will be simplified if the party becomes the ruling government after the next election.

    daripada 999 tahun, baik jadikan terus hak milik kekal.. biar mana2 kerajaan sepanjang tempoh itu tidak berhak memajukan atau melaksankan apa2 aktiviti pembangunan di kawasan itu..

    hanya ada dua jenis tempoh yang diguna pakai untuk pajakan tanah sekarang ini iaitu 99 tahun dan kekal.. apa2 cadangan perubahan, jika tidak dilayan kerajaan hari ini, baik tunggu parti pembangkang sahaja yang laksanaknnya.
