KOTA KINABALU: The calls by political partes to increase the numberof parlimentary seats in Sabah are nothing but political agendas by frustrated politicians who gained nothing fore their ‘masters’.
Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Grace Court Branch head Bahari Aship said increasing six or more seats meant the greedy would have the chance to parliament (MPs) and assemblymen and hoping to get ‘big fatpays’ followed by million ringgit projects.
“Increasing more seats meant more money to be spent through the taxpayers’ pockets. Even with the present numbers of MPs and assemblymen in Sabah, nothing positive has been achieved for the last 48 years after Merdeka, except Sabah being the ‘fixed deposit’.
“Yes, maybe it is important and necessary for the politicians to create more parliamentary and state seats for their benefit, but that will make the people suffer more. What exactly are the Sabah MPs doing in parliament?” he asked.
