No fire hydrants in Kg Piasau

SAPP Kadamaian CLC chairlady, Agnes Liewpin suggested the authorities to install fire hydrants at Kampung Piasau so that the villagers will not rely only on the services of the bomba. The village is situated near a school SMK Tombolion which has piped water supply.

She said it took more than 15 minutes for the bomba to arrive at the scene because of the distance of the house which caught fire from Kota Belud town.

While visiting the family of the fire victims whose house was burnt down on the evening of 9th August 2011, Agnes gave some food assistance to the head of the house, Encik Jinggo Antik.
The cause of the fire was suspected on old wires on the first floor of the house.

Kampong folks nearby managed to help the victims in moving out their belongings from the burning house. Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the fire including their grandparents who were helped out of the house by their neighbours.
